Gr 7-12 A clever puzzle is both the beginning and the high point of this book. It's followed by an introduction that provides solid examples of social structures and behavior of mammals, birds, insects, fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The probable rationales for these societies are logical and interesting, and occasional comparisons to the human species offer a clearer understanding.
